2. Year in Review

Chris and his co-hosts salute the new year with a one-hour review of the greatest and geekiest moments of 2011. Special guests Wil Wheaton (“Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “Stand By Me”), Nathan Fillion (“Firefly,” “Castle”) and stand-up comedian Kumail Nanjiani (“Franklin & Bash”) join in the nerd-eriffic year-end festivities, including the crowning of “Nerdist of the Year.” Also, Chris travels to London for interviews with David Tennant (“Doctor Who,” “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”) and Simon Pegg (“Shaun of the Dead,” “Star Trek,” “Mission Impossible”).

3. The Fades

Chris and his co-hosts take a look at the genre of horror in celebration of the premiere of the fantasy drama “The Fades” on BBC America. The episode features interviews with Lily Loveless (“The Fades,” “Skins”) and English musician/composer Thomas Dolby as well as appearances by Kunal Nayyar (“The Big Bang Theory”) and Alison Brie (“Community,” “Mad Men”).

4. Comic-Con

Every year, thousands of nerds converge in beautiful San Diego, where they shun the sunny skies and head indoors for the biggest comic book convention in the world: Comic-Con. In “The Nerdist: Comic-Con”, Chris Hardwick and his crack team of nerd experts do their best to piece together what happened at this year’s event. From cosplayers to blockbuster films, new TV shows and video games, this episode has it all. Even comic books. The special features interviews with “Doctor Who’s” Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill at Comic-Con, with in-studio guest appearances from Damon Lindelof (“Lost”, “Star Trek”) and John Barrowman (“Torchwood,” “Doctor Who”).

5. Tribute to Toys and Games

“The Nerdist: Tribute to Toys and Games” comes new in the box. Chris and co-hosts Jonah Ray and Matt Mira talk about the nerdiest toys, collectibles, and games. Brooke Leigh Lawson and Gregory Crafts make in-studio guest appearances, while Chris and Aisha Tyler travel across time and space…playing the game, “Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock.”

6. Tribute to Science

Host Chris Hardwick–comedian, personality and creator of The Nerdist blog and podcast- joins special guests in a comedic roundtable discussion of all the things that nerds love, from pop culture to news, tech trends and more. In this Science edition, a panel of today’s brightest minds discuss some of science’s greatest innovators and biggest stories. Guests include Danica McKellar and Cara Santa Maria.

7. Tribute to Nerd Girls

Host Chris Hardwick -comedian, personality and creator of The Nerdist blog and podcast- joins special guests in a comedic roundtable discussion of all the things that nerds love, from pop culture to news, tech trends and more. In this Nerd Girls edition, the panel celebrates the women who have boldly gone where only dudes used to go before. Whether they’re pioneering new technology or kicking virtual ass, nerd girls are dominating nerd culture.

8. Tribute to Time Travel

In this Time Travel edition, the panel discusses the possibility of time travel.
