2. Edinburgh

Edinburgh locals perform the one song that tells their story - from the tune a 22-year-old played at his mum's funeral to the Zach Bryan track that helped an ex-soldier with his PTSD.

3. London

A 90-year-old sings the Sinatra classic that got him his voice back after he had a stroke. A 15-year-old sings about growing up Black in Britain. And a father and son sing a lullaby.

4. Birmingham

A former Birmingham City footballer sings for her grandad. A navy officer performs Nessun Dorma and brings the shoppers to a standstill. And Nat King Cole has everyone dancing.

5. The Road to the Final Concert

Sam Ryder and Paloma Faith take the chosen singers into the studio to rehearse for the final concert. But first, they decide to include a fifth singer. Who should they bring back? As the practice sessions begin, Milo must learn to be bigger on stage, Chantel battles with self-doubt, Findlay rehearses his mum's funeral song a year after her death and Mina starts losing her voice the day before the concert. Alison Hammond follows their progress.

6. The Grand Final

Alison Hammond hosts the final performance at London's Hackney Empire. Sam Ryder and Paloma Faith must choose one of the five acts as the performance of the night. Chantel's a kidney transplant survivor, Findlay sings his mother's favourite song, teenager Milo stopped singing for two years after being teased, and for Iranian refugee Mina, singing was once an act of rebellion. Finally there's Elliot: a wildcard entry with the best smile in Britain.
