3. Mountain Spine Challenge

Between a remote scramble and a grizzly-infested bushwhack, the crew finds themselves on the spine of a mountain, being pelted by ice, and dodging one of nature's most violent forces.

4. Heat, Miles, and Tension

Each crew member can't know how they will react to the thru-hike until they're into it. Now, facing Washington's hottest summer on record, it's clear that the heat, long miles, and distant finish are drawing the tension between team members ahead.

5. 600 Miles Remain

Every journey has its milestones, and halfway is the most decisive: making it here has meant missing a daily cocktail of blood, sweat, and tears; with 600 miles left, see what it means for each crew member to hike their hike.

6. Trial by Fire

As the crew moves forward, they find their brotherhood, skills, and collective grit put to the test by one of nature's deadliest elements - wildfire. But, a common threat has a way of bringing people together, unlike anything else.

7. Endless Horizon

There is a stretch of time in every thru-hike when it feels like it will last forever. Then, you realize... it won't. After over two months of living in the mountains, the crew has found a new home, even if it's an increasingly punishing one.

8. Final Mile Challenges

Rocky passes, the rain-draped bushwhacks, steep cliffs, and tricky tides define the final miles on their journey - the Olympic Peninsula. The most northwest corner of the contingent United States. This is the final level of America's wildest long train.
