The aftermath of Direct Action Day places the Muslim league on the inside of the Interim Government formed by the Congress. The coalition causes disharmony at the parliament, jeopardising the governance. In London, Prime Minister Attlee looks for a new viceroy.

3. Satyagraha

As India welcomes a new viceroy, who is going be her last, Gandhi heads to Noakhali on a peace mission. The Mountbattens must juggle interests of the Congress, Muslim League and the Princely States while being objective.

4. Punjab

In the wake of the resignation of the CM of Punjab, the province becomes a political battleground. With communal tensions rising across the country, the Congress is compelled to seriously consider partition.

5. The Last Straw

Mahatma Gandhi meets the Mountbattens and suggests that Jinnah be given Prime Ministership to keep the nation undivided. Will his core allies - Patel and Nehru - agree?

6. Poorna Swaraj

While drafting the Transfer of Power plan for Independent India, V.P. Menon struggles to accommodate the Congress’s need for Poorna Swaraj and the British demand for Dominion Status.

7. Eclipse

Viceroy Mountbatten invites key political leaders of India to come together to present the Transfer of Power plan. However, Mahatma Gandhi abstains from attending the meeting.
