2. Oceans

Parenting in the ocean is rare, and demands dedication and intelligence. From navigating the reef, to teaching their young to hunt giants, these parents have the most remarkable strategies on Earth.

3. Grasslands

Parents must constantly balance risk and reward when raising young in open grasslands. Whilst abundant grass promises plentiful food and places to call home, this alone cannot guarantee success.

4. Freshwater

Water is essential to all life on Earth but too much or too little can be disastrous. Parents must master timing, to overcome freshwater’s constant change and successfully raise the next generation.

5. Jungles

Raising young in the complex world of jungles requires ingenuity. Parents must become masters of their environment and learn to exploit every opportunity through determination and teamwork.
